Voted the greatest figure in British history, this Churchill & World War 2 London walking tour explores the most important landmarks and moments in the life of Winston Churchill and discover the true extent of the damage and destruction of London during World War 2.
On this London walking tour you’ll visit many of Churchill’s iconic landmarks including his home at Downing Street, the Ministry of Defence and the Houses of Parliament from which many of his most crucial decisions were made. Along the way you’ll see the most famous Churchill statue in Parliament Square, St Margaret’s Church where he married his beloved Clementine in 1908 and, of course, Churchill’s favourite London pub.
As you go you’ll also discover the effects of the war from the streets of London. You’ll hear stories of bravery and courage in the Battle of Britain, see remaining bomb damage at Westminster Hall, get up close to the Cenotaph memorial dedicated to our fallen heroes and discover the crucial role that women played in victory at the Women of World War 2 memorial.
