North Coast Beach Hopping Adventure
Duration
8 to 9 hours
About
Experience the layback atmosphere of Mar Chiquita Beach! A sheltered cove almost completely enclosed by jagged rocks, creating a pool for swimming and soaking in the sun at the town of Manati. Umbrellas and chair rentals are available occasionally, along with some food trucks and stand mostly during the weekends, where you may find authentic Puerto Rican fritters and refreshing drinks. On the way out of the cove, a quick pitstop will be made at one of the many small caves found along the entire northern karst zone of Puerto Rico. There you may seize the opportunity to snap a few cool pictures with some natural stalactites of the cave ceiling as background. Along the way to our second stop scheduled for the day (Puerto Nuevo Beach at Vega Baja), you’ll get a small taste of Puerto Rican local bar hopping better known as “Chinchorreo”. Once you’ve enjoyed the golden sands of Vega Baja beach which offer magnificent views and photo opportunities. There will be one last stop at a restaurant to savor a little local gastronomy before turning back for the day.
