The Lighthouse Guest Suites

We named the property the Lighthouse before we ever painted it white. We wanted the house to be a beacon, a marker, or a place known for making memories, building communities, enjoying the gifts that our tropical landscape of South Florida has to offer. We purchased this property in December of 2021 and it needed help... It was run down and for many years out of maintenance, though occupied. It was no small task to bring it up to a marketable state. With a full renovation of the pool and backyard patio and walkways being one of the first projects started, we knew we were in for a series of big projects. Getting the exterior ready for guests was a bigger project than we expected. On the list of big projects was replacing all the doors and windows with hurricane and impact rated windows and doors. With over 20 openings to replace, with custom triple-pane sliding doors there was a lot of repair needed both inside and outside before we could even consider painting. Once the doors and windows were complete we finally got the color-change we'd be waiting for. We sealed the roof and color-matched it to the trim of the doors and windows, and we picked a nice white so the dark features and greenery would pop. We topped the paint job off with the addition of solar panels so we could offset the power consumption of the property. Inside the building we completely remodeled the studio which we named The Sunset Hideaway (or Suite 1). It got a brand new kitchen with quartz counters and shaker cabinets with black accents and stainless appliances. The floor was removed and we put down white epoxy, which is super easy to clean and looks great. In The Haven Suite, our two-bedroom unit (Suite #2) we updated all the doors and windows, a brand new 1 ton AC, and furnished with a grand King bed and cozy 2nd bedroom. The beauty of The Haven Suite is that it opens directly through sliding glass doors that open to the heated salt water pool and travertine paved patio with grill. Our largest unit, The Palms Suite is a large 2-bedroom 1-bath unit with beautiful entertainment unit, brand new doors and windows, white epoxy (easy to clean) floors, and a triple-pane pocket sliding door that opens completely to the pool and patio. We're constantly updating, planting, and upgrading things here and there now that all the BIG WORK has been completed.
